Something Old | Something New

Hello my stamping friends.

So I really like to mix and match my current supplies with my retired supplies. Sometimes I post a project I dub Something Old / Something New and most of the time I share it on my Facebook Page over the weekends.

Today I paired last year's Penguin DSP with the returning favorite Penguin Place Stamp set and Penguin Builder Punch. I also used an old retired color Wild Wasabi for my cardstock layer and ink! I also used the new Whimsical Woodlands embossing folder for some fun dry embossing, and created a window in my card with the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Here is my project start to finish for you.

Now I followed the following steps:

Die-cut the window, I positioned mine about ¾ inch in from the top and side of the cardstock panel.
Emboss the panel next.
Stamp my penguin image and added the beak, and bow tie.
Use the Penguin Builder Punch to punch out the image.
Use the banner die from Stylish Shapes Dies to die-cut the sentiment.

Okay, next we adhere the DSP square to the back of the embossed panel. I add adhesive around the top and two sides and then attach the DSP. I leave the bottom unglued so I can slip the penguin in position after.
