Rings of Love - SAB DSP Fun Fold

Rings of Love - SAB Fun Fold

Hello my stamping friends.

It’s here! Summer Sale-a-bration 2022.  Today I am sharing a project featuring one of the Sale-a-bration Promotion Items you can add to a $50 qualifying order in July - August 2022.  The Rings of Love DSP paper package.  This is such a fun set of papers.  I really think you could use some of these papers for each season of the year.  Here’s a sample of the prints and some of the fun samples the designers at the Stampin’ Up! are sharing with all of us.

I am showcasing a fun fold card design as well.  It is super simple with just an altered score and fold to bring the two sides of the front of the card together.  Then I crafted the focal point with the Scalloped Contour Dies and the DSP sample. Plus I added a small sentiment from the Very Best Occasions Stamp Set.

I do have a Stampin’ Show & Tell Video Demonstration for you from start to finish for this project.  So take a few minutes and enjoy the presentation.

Okay, so that wasn’t too difficult was it!  I told you, it’s an easy alternative to the standard half folded piece of cardstock to make the card base.  All the details are shared below as well, so don’t worry all my materials and measurements are here for you.

Okay one more thing…

Do you want to take advantage of the Wonderful World Class? This is a summer class series I am hosting for SAB Customers.  I will be sharing 9 projects, one each Friday from July 1  through Aug 26.  Each will include a Show & Tell Video Demonstration and PDF Tutorial.  Access and downloadable files will be sent via email to all participants.  Follow the link to learn more: Wonderful World Summer SAB Class

Okay, leave me a comment, let me know what you think of the project, or if you have questions about the summer class.

Happy Stampin,

Susan

  • Liner: 4 x 5 ¼

  • Front Embellishment: your design

Project Instructions:

  1. Cut an 8 ½“ x 5 ½“ piece of Poppy Parade cardstock. Score at 1 ½” and 5 ¾“ , fold in half to form a card base. Burnish crease using a Bone Folder.

  2. Use the embossing folder and dry emboss the two flaps of the cardbase.  Run each side separately.

  3. Cut a liner for your card that is 5 ¼ x 4” of Basic White cardstock. Adhere to the center of your card.

  4. Die-cut a piece of 5” x 3 ¾” Basic White cardstock with the Scalloped Contours Dies.

  5. Cut a Rings of Love DSP sample for the center of the Scalloped Contours Die.  It should measure 3 ⅞” x  2 ⅝”.  Adhere to the center of the die.

  6. Then die-cut another piece of Basic White cardstock for the sentiment with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. Stamp your sentiment with Poppy Parade ink to match your cardstock  color.  Add to the DSP front with dimensionals.

  7. Now adhere the focal point to the front of your card.  I used multi-purpose liquid adhesive.  Be careful not to use too much and keep it behind the panel you are adding so that it doesn't adhere your card closed.
