Trees For Sale - Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Trees For Sale

Stamping with Friends Christmas Card Blog Hop

Hello my stamping friends.

Today I am sharing my Christmas Card that I crafted for the Stamping with Friends Christmas Card Blog Hop!  This is my first time hopping with this group, so I am excited to be sharing it with all of you.  Remember, after you see my project and if you are inspired by it, please leave a comment below.  Then use the NEXT Link to visit the next paper crafter joining our fun hop this month.  I bet you will find lots of creative card ideas to inspire your own projects.

So I am using the Trees For Sale stamp set and pairing it with a selected sheet from the Celebrate Everything Host DSP package.  This black and white sheet was just begging for some added color and I used my BLENDS to get the job done.

Next I decided I wanted to feature the Double Z Fancy Fold card layout.  I am working with a group of stampers on creating templates and practice kits, and next month we are starting with this design. This layout allows for lots of DSP panels while also showcasing stamped images.  I share the layout in the detailed tutorial for this project below.

For today’s project, you can follow this link to see my Stampin’ Show & Tell demonstration of the card, and how easy it is to create this Double Z Fold card base.

You can see I used that colored DSP for my back panels and then stamped the trees from the Trees For Sale stamp set in coordinating colors and cut them out for embellishments along the skinny Z fold layer of the card.  I really like how the trees stand out in front of the background paper in this sample.  I only used three trees but you could certainly add as many as you wish.  Remember, “It’s Your Card, Make It Your Way!”

Below you find the NEXT BLOG links, then there are a few quick notes about this project I shared below.  Please don’t hesitate to leave me a comment or a question if I can assist you in making one of your own.

Project Tutorial

Here’s a simple breakdown of the parts and pieces.  Don’t get stuck on my specific colors, or selections of papers and die-cuts.  Switch it up and make your own project with your favorite items.

  1. Color the DSP with your selected colors.

  2. Attach the DSP panels to the base card.

  3. Attach the thin strips of DSP to the Skinny Z fold section and adhere to the card.

  4. Now stamp and trim out your tree images.

  5. Add the trees to the Skinny Z Fold section.

  6. Now stamp your sentiment and add to the card!
