Better Days | SU! Only Challenge

Hello my stamping friends.

Check out this fun card I created for Stampin Up! Only Challenge.  This is a blog that offers weekly challenges, and this week they had a color challenge. The featured colors for this challenge are:

So, for my project I inked up a new to me, but retiring soon stamp set - Better Days!  Yes, I did order this set after the retiring list was announced.  I’ve been watching this set for a while, but had not purchased it yet.  Then it was offered at a great discount, and I indulged myself and purchased it.  It is currently $6.80 marked down from $17.

I wanted to keep this simple for my Follow Along Friday project share.  So I created it with the SIP card method in mind.

Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello my stamping friends.

So today we are celebrating products that are retiring from our Stampin’ Up! Collection at the end of the catalog, which is May 1 2023.  Out with the old, even if they are some of our favorites, and in with new colors, papers, and stamp sets!

I created this card with five retiring products.

1. The stamp set Limited Edition had never been inked before, so I need to remedy that! I always feel so guilty for not using a stamp set I buy… 

2. The Picture This Die to create a fun open framed card front.

3. The  Twigs & Sprigs Embossing Folder to add some texture and fun dry embossing to the face of the card.

4. The Blushing Bride cardstock color is retiring.

5. I used the Pastel Pearls to add a little embellishment to the open small circles.

• Then to add a classy element I stamped with Early Espresso ink and then heat embossed with clear powder.

And to top all that off, I used a color combination that I really do like, but don’t usually pull together!
