Color & Contour | Color Refresh Combo

Color & Contour | New Color Creation

Hello my stamping friends.

So, Stampin’ Up! has put us through another color refresh with the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. My demo team did a color swap so we would have lots of ideas to share with all of you.  This is my card that features the Color & Contour stamp set.  It also features the recent Fresh Freesia color that moved from an In-Color to our regular color collection. I paired it with Berry Burst which is a returning favorite from a few years past.  Then I wanted just a hint of Lemon Lime, so you see it peeking out behind my die-cut flower.

Steps to the project:

  1. The cardbase was Berry Burst.

  2. The front panel is die-cut on both sides with the Scalloped Contours Dies, so the final Fresh Freesia panel is about 3 ½ inches wide by 5 ½ inches long.

  3. I stamped with Versamark to give the Fresh Freesia panel a background print, I used the full flower images to achieve this.

  4. Then I stamped the outline flower image on the stem with Memento and then die-cut with the coordinating die.  Then the flower was colored with the Fresh Freesia Blend markers.

  5. I also cut the same flower image out of Lemon Lime cardstock and backed the die-cut flower with it to create a colorful shadow.

  6. Now notice that I stamped the texture stamp around where I was going to place the die-cut flower. I stamped it with Memento but tried to keep it isolated near the position of the flower.

  7. I added a ½ inch Berry Burst ribbon for accent along the bottom.

  8. Next I die-cut the label from the coordinating dies and stamped my greeting with the Berry Burst ink.

So what do you think? Please leave me a comment and let me know how this project inspired you today.  Project item list is below.

Happy Stamping,
