Dainty Flowers | SAB 2023 Sneak Peek

Dainty Flowers | SAB 2023 Sneak Peek

Hello my stamping friends.

Are you ready for a sneak peek at some of the new items headed our way in January.  As demo’s we get to pre-order with each catalog, which is a really fun perk!  So sit back and enjoy the projects in this blog hop and start your own WISH LIST of what you just have to get ordered in January when the Sale-a-bration Promotion starts.

For today’s project I am using two Sale-a-bration items, first the DSP Dainty Flowers, which is a package of 12 x 12 Designer Series Papers.  Then I paired it with a stamp set Sending Support.  Both of these items are available with a $50 purchase during the promotion.  Choose one for each $50 increment you order.

Now I paired these two items with the Meadows Dies from the annual catalog. For my flowers, I cut them from Basic White and then used my Blends to color them.  I was attempting to match the color scheme in the DSP selection I used for my card.

You might notice that this card looks slightly different in size.  Since the DSP is 12 x 12 and I wanted to get the most out of it. I cut my DSP at 4” in width.  Then I trimmed my card base down to 4” wide as well.  So I started with a 5 ½” x 8” cardbase and scored at 4 inches.  I have the different steps and measurements in the Photo Tutorial below.

Okay, so there’s my quick project for this hop of sneak peeks.  Leave me a comment, let me know what you think! Then follow the NEXT LINK to visit the next crafter.

Photo Tutorial

So I started with a few basic panels of DSP and an embossed panel of cardstock.  I did trim down my cards width to be 4 inches instead of 4 ¼, just to conserve some DSP.

Here you can see the Basic White Meadow Dies before and after I colored them with the Blend markers.  I used Mossy Meadow and Rich Razzleberry, both light and dark.

Here you can see I added the DSP and the embossed panels to the front of the card.  I adhered them with multi-purpose liquid adhesive.  You can see the die-cut flowers ready to add and the die-cut tag for the sentiment from the Contours Dies.

I added the dies to mimic the DSP panels.  Then I trimmed the stems before I added the sentiment tag.

Here is the inside of the card.  I added a liner that was 3 ½” x 5”.  Added the fourth die-cut from the Meadows Dies and a ¾” strip of the DSP to finish it off.
