Daisy Garden - Watercolor

Daisy Garden | Watercolor Wash

Hello my stamping friends.

Check out this fun watercolor project.  We are going to heat emboss, selectively add color to the heat embossed image, and create a fun repeated sentiment panel to pair it with.

Watch the full  Show & Tell Demonstration to see it all come together.

A bit of work this project is, but fun and creative in many ways.  It’s fun to pull different techniques together all in one project! Leave me a comment, let me know which technique you liked the best.

If you need a list of supplies or the written instructions, they are here as well.  Just keep scrolling to find all the details.

Project Instructions:

  1. Cut a 11” x 8 ½” piece of Polished Pink cardstock. Score at 5 ½”. Fold in half to form a card base. Burnish crease using a Bone Folder.

  2. Cut 2 pieces of Shimmery White cardstock to measure 2” x 5 ¼”.  One for the sentiment panel, the other for the image panel.

  3. Die-Cut a label for your sentiment tag with the Tasteful Labels Dies from a piece of Polished Pink cardstock 2 ¼” x 2 ½”.

  4. Cut a piece of Soft Seafoam cardstock to measure 2 ¼” x 2 ½” and emboss it with the Hammered Metal folder.

  5. Create your sentiment with the words from the Create with Friends stamp set.  Then stamp once with Versamark on the Polished Pink cardstock.  Dust with White emboss powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.

  6. Then stamp the sentiment down one of the Shimmery White panels with Polished Pink ink, several times.

  7. Now stamp the Daisy image on the other Shimmery White panel with Versamark ink.  Dust with White Emboss powder and heat set the image with the Heat Tool.

  8. Now let’s Watercolor!  With your watercolor painters and ink in the lids of the Polished Pink and Garden Green ink pads, we are going to add color to the image.  With a not “TOO WET” brush apply Polished Pink ink to the flowers and Garden Green ink to the stalks and leaves.  Be sure to clean your tip between colors.

  9. Now, add the two panels side by side to the front of your card.

  10. Next construct the sentiment layers, add a looped piece of Polished Pink ribbon between the Soft Seafoam layer and the embossed Polished Pink layer.
