Warm Wishes with Toile Tidings | FMS453 | MCC20

Happy Monday my stamping friends. Okay so this week we are talking about and creating SCENIC cards. You could use your stamps, patterned paper, or even re-purpose photos for these cards. Remember, when you craft a card it is your’s. “It’s Your Card, Make It Your Way!”

Project Tutorial

Materials & Measures:

  • Garden Green - 5 ½ x 8 ½

  • Garden Green - 5 ¼ x 4 [die cut 3 scalloped circles from center before using a mount]

  • Very Vanilla - 5 x 3 3 /4 [front panel]

  • Toile Tidings DSP - 4 x 6

  • Very Vanilla - 5 x 3 ¾ [inside panel]

Card Instructions:

Die-cutting

TOILE TIDINGS CIRCLES - Select the smaller image from your patterned paper first.  Die-cut with a smaller circle.  Then with the largest circle die-cut the coordinating image from your patterned paper.   BE SURE to position your selections so you can get both images die-cut from the same panel.

SCALLOPED CIRCLES - From the Garden  Green 5 ¼ x 4 piece of cardstock.  Die-cut the two coordinating scalloped circles from  the set.  Be sure to cut from the center, so the edges will be un-cut for this piece to be used as another layer on the card face.

Stamping 

SENTIMENT - Stamp the sentiment on the Very Vanilla Cardstock near the bottom and off to the left.  This will help balance the placement of the images.

Create the front of  your card

  • Start by layering the Very Vanilla panel to the Garden Green panel.  Then add to the face of the card.

  • Now layer the die-cut circles to the die-cut scalloped circles with adhesive.

  • Use dimensionals to add both of those layered circles to the Very Vanilla panel.

  • Remember you are piecing the two circles back together.  So they should overlap slightly.

  • Use the second Very Vanilla panel to line the inside of your card.
