Modified Barn Fun Fold

Hello my stamping friends.

Welcome to the Stamping with Friends Blog Hop - featuring wonderful items from the Sale-a-bration Promotion.  Today I am sharing a project that features the In The Country stamp set.  This is a 2 stamp set with beautiful line images.  Take a look.

This set is available during the promotion with a $50 qualifying order.

So I created a fun fold to showcase this image on the project.  I started by stamping lightly with Crumb Cake ink on Basic White cardstock.  Then I then added color with my Watercolor Pencils (Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Real Red) to add color to the image and then soften my pencil lines with a Blender Pen.  Then this element was finished off by die-cutting with a scalloped edge die.

Then I crafted my card base with a selection from the In the Daydream DSP Hostess paper from the annual catalog, and used a modified barn fun fold template.  This happens to be one of my January Fun Fold projects, and I do have a video showing how to put this design together.  If you are interested see the bottom of the post and follow my links to the video and blog post.

Here is a peek at the Parts and Pieces I started with.  All the measures are available on the Project Template.  All the supplies I used are listed below.

I crafted my card and then added sentiments from the Charming Sentiments stamp set.  This one is new to me, and it does have a coordinating die set.  I like how light the sentiments are, I find them fun and easy to add to my projects while having some different options from our standard phrases.

Here is a look at the project open, I love how you can showcase  lots of different panels of DSP  with this design.  And how the belly band pulls it all together.

Okay, it’s time to send you along the Blog Hop!  Be sure to leave me a message below, let me know if you have any questions about this project.  Also, did you like it?

Enjoy all our projects.

Feb 2023 Sketch Challenge for Inkspirations Blog Shop

Enjoy the Rhythm for Glimmer & Shine

Inkspirations Blog Hop January 2023

Hello my stamping friends.

It’s time for the first blog hop with the Inkspirations Blog Hop group in 2023.  This month Angie offered up a double challenge:  1) a sketch to follow and 2) add some glimmer and shine!  I decided to use this new stamp set Enjoy the Rhythm from the Spring Mini Catalog.  My hubby is a drummer so this was a no brainer for picking up to craft with.

So I chose to follow the sketch offered but did use a Z-fold structure.  Okay, here is the offered sketch.  Followed by my card.

You can see I followed the sketch, but like I said I did create a Z-fold with the front of the card. I scored at  1 ¼ inches and folded back that section of card. Then added some silver foil to that folded back flap to add a little glimmer!

On the face of the card I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with White emboss powder for the music images.  I also heat embossed the electric guitars on the inside exposed portion of the card.

I stamped the drum kit image with Memento black ink and stamped on Basic White cardstock. Then I used my Stylish Shapes Dies - the largest square one, and die-cut the image on the diagonal, making the diamond embellishment!  Then I colored the hardware and cymbals with my Soft Suede Blend marker.  I also add Wink of Stella to the cymbals to make them sparkle.

Here is the inside of the card laid open.  I lined up the three stamps here on one  clear block and then stamped with the Memento as well.

So I hope you enjoyed my project today.  Please leave me a comment down below and then use this link to hop along to the next crafter in our hop today.

Happy Stamping,

Susan
