Wildlife Wonder - Catalog CASE Project
Wildlife Wonder - Catalog CASE Project
Hello my stamping friends.
So one of the simplest ways to create a card project is maybe by CASing a project already created. Just like with painting, when we try to duplicate the Master’s work of art… we too can duplicate the card projects that inspire us.
For today’s project I used the Wildlife Wonder stamp set and paired it with the Awash with Beauty DSP, both from the annual catalog. However, I CASEd a project from the Spring Mini Catalog.
Can you see the similarities between them? Both have a printed pattern background. Both have oversized tags and Baker’s Twine as an embellishment. And the tag has the sentiments and the die-cut image. Just like my project. But they are quite different also!
They have two very different themes and color palettes. But the layout and elements are close to the same. I used a different tag element, and the owl instead of hearts, but the idea came straight from the pages of the new Mini Catalog.
For my project you might notice that I selectively edited the shape of my die-cut tag.
We use to refer to our Annual Catalogs as Idea Books! They really are… be sure to use them to inspire you. Even if you don’t replicate a project exactly, let them inspire you to create with what you do have. Make it your own. Here is the Simple Sketch breakdown for this project.
