INKspirations Blog Hop - Color Challenge - Feb 2022
Feb 2022 Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - Color Challenge
Hello stamping friends,
Welcome to the February Inkspirations Blog Hop, and this month we had a color challenge to craft with.
Take a look.
COLOR INKSPIRATIONS for February 2022:
Blushing Bride, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Bumblebee and Garden Green
We were challenged to use at least 3 of the 5 colors. For my project, I opted for three colors: Bumblebee, Garden Green, and Polished Pink. I used the Timeless Tropical stamp set and coordinating dies, because honestly, I’m really needing some beach days! It’s been too long since I had sand between my toes, and warm sea breezes on my skin.
I really enjoy using vellum layers in my projects. That is what I used here for my background panel. Really easy stamping for this project too, relaxes, just like if we were at the beach right? The sentiment tag is all die-cuts and some simple stamping as well. Enjoy the tutorial-short I have for you, and you can find all the products and written tutorial at the bottom of this post.

Project Tutorial
Instructions:
-
Cut a 11” x 4 ¼” piece of Basic White cardstock. Score at5 ½ ”. Fold in half to form a card base. Burnish crease using a Bone Folder.
-
On a piece of Vellum Cardstock that is 4” x 5 ¼”, stamp the large blossom with Polished Pink and the leaf image with Garden Green. LET IT DRY!
-
From Basic White cardstock, 2” x 3”, die-cut the large Stitched So Sweetly Die for the sentiment. With Bumblebee ink, stamp the weave texture from the Natural Textures stamp set, to cover the cardstock.
-
Die-cut from a piece of scrap Garden Green cardstock, the pineapple top and the “aloha” sentiment.
-
On a piece of scrap Basic White, stamp the small blossom with Polished Pink ink, then color the blossom with a Blender Pen. Now die-cut with the coordinating die.
-
Adhere the die-cut “ALOHA” with liquid adhesive to the sentiment tag. Then add the green die-cut leaves and the small blossom.
-
Adhere the vellum cardstock layer to the card. I put liquid adhesive behind the pink centers of the blossoms, and the center where the sentiment will be added.
-
Add the sentiment tag with dimensionals.
