Check out this Watercolor Wash technique for these two projects featuring the Timeless Tropical stamp set. I have to admit the lighter version is my favorite. But both show ways to use the watercolor wash technique to give your projects a fun finish.

Project Instructions:

Cut a 8 ½” x 5 ½” piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock. Score at 4 ¼”. Fold in half to form a card base. Burnish crease using a Bone Folder.
Cut a 5 ¼” x 4” piece of Basic Black cardstock for a framing mount.
Cut a 5” x 3 ¾” piece of Shimmery White cardstock. Stamp with Versamark the tree images along the edges. Dust with Black Emboss powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.
Using the Water Painters, pick up some ink from the cover of the Coastal Cabana. Paint the color across the cardstock to fill the white area. Let the panel dry then mount to the Basic Black cardstock. Then to the card front.
Die-cut a small Stitched So Sweetly Die from Shimmery White cardstock 2” x 3”. Stamp your sentiment with Versamark and repeat the heat embossing with the Black Emboss powder. Add to the card with dimensionals.
Die-cut with the coordinating In the Tropics Dies, from Bermuda Bay scrap cardstock, five small leaves. These will be added with mini-glue dots to the label for embellishment.

Cut a 8 ½” x 5 ½” piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock. Score at 4 ¼”. Fold in half to form a card base. Burnish crease using a Bone Folder.
Cut a 5 ¼” x 4” piece of Basic Black cardstock for a framing mount.
Stamp the leaf print multiple times down the right edge of the cardstock panel with Versamark ink. Dust with White Emboss powder and heat set.
On another scrap piece of Shimmery White cardstock, stamp the leaf image again two or three times. Repeat the heat embossing with the White powder.
Fuzzy cut the extra leaves with your Paper Snips and use it for embellishment around the sentiment tag.
Die-cut the large Tasteful Labels dies from Shimmery White cardstock 2” x 3”. Stamp the sentiment with Versamark and dust with White Emboss powder, heat set.
Using the Water Painters, pick up some ink from the cover of the Coastal Cabana. Paint the color over the heat embossed portion of the large panel. Also paint the extra leaves and the sentiment tag.
Create your frayed bow embellishment. Unravel about 5 inches of the Frayed White Ribbon. Tie the center with a scrap of thread and adhere with glue dots to the center of the large Shimmery White panel.
Adhere all the layers to the card.
