Pretty Medallion - I Believe In You

Pretty Medallion - I Believe In You

Hello my stamping friends.

I have a new stamp set I am creating today.  This is the Pretty Medallion stamp set from the Annual Catalog, and I really love the way it looks colored with the Stampin’ Blends.  I paired the project with the Stitched Greenery Die to create a textured background.  Then I pulled in the Detailed Tags Dies to create the sentiment tag with a phrase from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set.  Then I added some bling with Basic Rhinestones and White Bakers Twine.

You can see the Daffodil Delight version of the card in the photo above, the colors for the blends I used are shown here on the right.  The colors on the left were used for a different color palette.  Some of those cards are shown below.

Daffodil Delight

Old Olive

Rich Razzleberry

Pumpkin Pie

GrannyApple Green

Highland Heather

Project Steps:

  • Stamp the image with Memento ink since Blends are being used for the colors.

  • Then use your Paper Snips to trim it out.

  • Then I cut the image in half for the project.

  • Now add the background textured panel to the card front.

  • Then add the ½ Medallion image.

  • Across the bottom of the cut edge add a paper ribbon,

  • I stamped the sentiment on the die-cut tag.

  • Added the White Bakers’s Twine as a bow.

  • Finish it off with Basic Rhinestones.

Deck The Halls - Mini Card

Deck The Halls - Mini Card

Hello my stamping friends.

So there are times I just stamp to be creative and not necessarily worry about only using the current product.  I still like to share these projects with all of you though, because it inspires you to create something different, or with items you already own in your stampin’ stash.

So I was mailing packets out to some stampin’ friends with an invite to join my Fun Fold class, and was required to put a 2 oz stamp on them.  But they only weighed 1.5 oz.  So I thought, well I can’t put a full size card in them, but I wanted to add a little message for the holidays.  So I decided to try and craft an ½ oz card.  And this is where it led me.

So, I started with a quarter sheet of cardstock.

Dry embossed it with the Whimsical Trees embossing folder.

I wanted a fun embossed shell to the card, so this creates a mini card with embossing on the front and back!

After embossing I just scored it and folded it in half with my bone folder.

Then I decided I wanted a small sentiment for the front, and I have had these cute felt ornament embellishments for years.  I simply stamped the sentiment on a piece of scrap and then used a paper punch to punch it out.  Add it with a single dimensional and then looped the ornament string over the oval punch to add it.  Too Simple and Too Cute!

For the inside, since I embossed the entire ¼ sheet of cardstock, I used an inside liner scaled down to 4” x 2 ½” and stamped an inside greeting!

Now both of these stamp sets have been retired for a long time.  The embossing folder is from the 2022 Fall Mini Catalog, and is only available while supplies last.  But you can check out all the current stamp sets and embossing folders, along with other supplies in the online store.
